No Scrap Left Behind

In my last post I talked about how much I love my new Bill Nye the Science Guy Paper Recyling Factory and how my son thinks I'm eco-crazy. He thought it was cool I was making paper and recycling to help the environment. But, what I added to the paper next had him really rolling his eyes.

I do a lot of sewing; quilted items for The Quilted Pet, upcycled and re-purposed clothing for Green Carbon, and more. So I have a lot of fabric and a lot of scraps. I've been using larger scraps left over from clothes and quilt blocks in scrap quilts but I'm always left with still smaller scraps.

A few posts ago I showed you a wrist cuff I made with these small scraps. But even after using the small scraps I was left with tiny scraps that I put into a little baggie by my sewing machine. I was just tossing them in the trash but they were so small most landed on the floor instead of in the bucket so I started putting them in the baggie.

So, when my first set of recycled paper sheets was drying and I was sewing I took a look at my baggie which was pretty full and thought, hey there are threads in money why not add these little scraps to my paper. And that's just what i did. Then I got a little more creative than just hang tags.

Here are some photos of projects I've made so far with the recycled paper I've made:
